Changes in the Fax Server's IP Address
If you send faxes via email, the Exchange/mail server needs to be updated to reflect the new IP address of the FaxMaker server. Please check the article about Creating an Exchange Connector for Use with GFI FaxMaker to review the setup process of the connector to change the IP address.
Depending on your fax device, you may need to change the IP address of the FaxMaker server in your phone system.
For example, if you are using a Fax over IP (FoIP) device that is connected via IP network to a call manager system, the IP address in the call manager system also needs to be updated.
Note: The update process is not configured in GFI FaxMaker's settings and will vary from system to system.
FoIP devices will be affected by an IP address change since these devices rely on network configurations to operate properly. To learn more, review the process on how to change the IP Address of FoIP devices in GFI FaxMaker.
