The 1701 document conversion error occurs when the file-to-fax conversion is timed out. This can occur with attachment conversion or a sent fax that has no attachments. This article gives instructions for correcting the issue causing the document conversion timeout.
Any FaxMaker Version 20 installation.
- Right-click the Start button and select Run.
- Type services.msc and select OK.
- Stop the GFI FaxMaker Fax Server service.
C:\Program Files\FaxMaker\doccvt.iniwith notepad and ensure that the print engines are as follows:
bmp=print_img.exeNote: Some of the older versions of FaxMaker will not have the
print_img.exeengine and will only use
print_html(x).exe. In this case, use the
print_html2.exewould be used rather than
print_html2.exeand save the file.
Send a test through your normal sending method and confirm there is no conversion error.
