Overview
This article provides instructions for adding new fax lines to your GFI FaxMaker configuration.
Note: You can add the maximum number of lines supported by your fax device, up to the GFI FaxMaker limit of 128 lines.
Solution
-
From Programs, navigate to GFI FaxMaker Configuration > Lines/Devices > Properties and select Detect if you want to add an analog modem and select Add for all other devices.
-
If you selected Detect FaxMaker will scan the COM Ports of the computer to detect a modem. Once a modem has been detected see the article Fax Modems and Custom Modem Properties for additional setup steps.
-
If you selected Add, the add a fax line box will popup and you can select the line number, device type and physical line or port on the device.
- You can then continue the setup of the fax line following the Accessing Lines and Devices in the FaxMaker Configuration article.
Note: Once the first line is setup, if the other lines will have the same configuration you can select the checkbox Copy settings from installed device, as shown in the screenshot above to copy the settings from this line to newly created lines.
