GFI provides trial licenses for testing purposes. This allows a customer to test FaxMaker in their environment to ensure proper operation before purchasing. During this time, customers can use all of the features of FaxMaker.
There are some exclusions to note. If you want to trial FaxMaker with Etherfax or FaxMaker Online or a Brooktrout SR140, you must also get a trial license/subscription for each specific item being used. These are available from your reseller or from email@example.com.
FaxMaker trial license keys are good for 30 days. They can be extended, but initially are good for 30 days. They are also only good for 30 days from the installation date. This would explain attempting to put a trial key in a server that has been in use for months and it does not work.
FaxMaker trial keys can be extended if it is found that more time is needed to confirm compatibility in your network. Extensions can be requested from firstname.lastname@example.org and should be done so as much in advance as possible.
