PROBLEM
You see the following error when trying to install the GFI FaxMaker printer on a Microsoft Windows 7 64bit computer:
Error installing printer driver - 0x3eb - HRESULT 0x80070490
ENVIRONMENT
- GFI FaxMaker
- Microsoft Windows 7 x64
SOLUTION
- Go to Start > Control Panel
- Open Add/Remove Programs or Program and Features
- Select Turn Windows features on or off
- Disable the option Print and Document Services
CAUSE
This Windows printer option hindered the loading of FaxMaker's printer driver.
