Overview
Sending and receiving faxes simultaneously on GFI FaxMaker depends on the actual hardware ISDN (Integrated Services Digital Network) card in use. This article provides information on two versions of these cards from the B1 series manufactured by AVM.
Information
Following are the details on simultaneous multi-channel transceiving (transferring and receiving) capabilities of the recent two versions of the AVM B1 series 2-channel BRI (Basic Rate Interface) ISDN cards:
- Only the active AVM B1 v4 ISDN card supports the simultaneous transceiving of faxes on both channels.
- The active AVM B1 v3 ISDN card does not support the simultaneous receiving of faxes on both channels. This card can send a fax on two channels but can receive on one channel only. During a receive process on one channel, incoming faxes on the other channel are ignored - and the sender will get a busy tone. GFI FaxMaker will wait until the process is completed before it receives a new fax.
