Overview
FaxMaker takes images from the email signature and sends them as an additional page in the sent fax. You may even see html code from the email in the FaxMaker coverpage. This article gives information as to why this happens and how to avoid it.
Environment
All FaxMaker installations.
Solution
Cause
When FaxMaker receives an email and there are images in the signature, these images will be sent as an image, each on an individual page. These images are seen as attachments in the email and all attachments are handled the same way, on an additional page, provided the image file can be converted in the document conversion process. The is a normal operation for FaxMaker and should be expected.
Solution Information
When using email to send faxes to FaxMaker, have a plain text signature set up in your email client for sending faxes is how to avoid the images in the normal email signature being seen as attachments and used as described above in the Cause section. Once the plain text email has been created in the email client, use the plain text signature for faxes and the standard email signature for any other emails.
Confirmation
After reviewing the information above, a plain text signature can be used and fax formatting will be as expected.
