Answer
PROBLEM
Incoming faxes are received truncated on random basis.ENVIRONMENT
- GFI FaxMaker
- Dialogic Brooktrout SR140
- Avaya VoIP Phone Systems and Gateways
SOLUTION
Line compression must be disabled and V.34 might also need to be disabled. If problems persist, G.711 fax-pass-through mode must be used instead of T.38 mode. The following changes must be done in the BTCall.cfg of Dialogic Brooktrout SR140 configuration file:line_compression 5.....change to 0 (zero)
v34_enable 1..........change to 0 (zero)
After doing so, re-start the GFI FaxMaker FaxServer services and re-attempt to send / receive multiple fax pages.
CAUSE
Line quality issues may originate from the remote end. Compression increases the frequency of such errors, however in this context Avaya PBX does not support Error Correction mode (ECM) when in T38 mode.Note:
- Dialogic no longer supports any SDK prior to 6.7.0
- Microsoft Windows Server 2003 and prior IS NOT supported by Dialogic for SDK 6.7.0
