Overview
The company field (CALLED_COMPANY) and all other recipient fields (outgoing fax messages) can be filled in different ways depending on your sending method. This article provides information about different sending methods.
Note: Environments that do not support non-SMTP addresses will not be able to use the Outlook Sending method.
Information
The information for the sending methods you are using are described below:
-
Outlook
For Outlook, use the Business Fax Contacts. The syntax used is:
[FAX:name@company@surname@dept@faxnumber]
If the contact is in the address book of Microsoft Outlook and the fields have values
(Company, Name)
, you can also use:[FAX:name@faxnumber]
-
FaxMaker Client/Web Client
By using the FaxMaker Client or the Web Client, you need to maintain the local address book or use the Public Contacts in the GFI FaxMaker Configuration.
-
NetPrintQueue2Fax/API
If you use the NetPrintQueue2Fax feature, you can use the variables in our API documentation. The same link applies if you are using the APIs (Web, Text, and XML API).
