This article provides instructions for configuring the mail server to use for inbound fax transmission to internal email users, and for email transmission reports and other admin emails generated by FaxMaker. The SMTP Connector is the GFI FaxMaker process that connects to the mail server and uploads emails for transmission to internal users.
All FaxMaker installations.
From Programs, access the FaxMaker Configuration, select Email2FaxGateway and select Properties.
From the SMTP Connector tab, configure the following options:
To ensure that GFI FaxMaker can send email through the configured mail server, enter an email address that is on the mail server specified and click Send test email.
- Click OK.
- From the services.msc, restart the FaxMaker services.
Ensure that the test email is received in the mailbox that was tested.
