Overview
This article details the features and privileges of being a FaxMaker Administrator.
Introduction
FaxMaker Administrators are different from licensed users in a few different ways:
- Sending Faxes
- Web Interface
- Administrative notifications
Description
Sending Faxes
FaxMaker administrator users are unable to send faxes unless added to licensed users in the FaxMaker Configuration. FaxMaker Administrators must be added in FaxMaker Administrators and Licensed Users if the admin user needs to send faxes as well as administer the system.
From the screenshots above we can see that test 1 is a licensed user as well as a fax admin. Test7 is an admin but is not a licensed user.
Web Interface
Normal licensed users log into the FaxMaker Web Interface and have the client available and under the gear in the top task bar there is only options available for the client. The screenshots below show test2 and test1 logged into the web interface showing the differences.
We can see test1 not only has access to the client but also the reporting and the monitor. The gear in the taskbar shows the options not only for the client, but also for the licensing, reporting and updating. For test7 we can see they have access to the additional items test1 has, but does not have access to the client and client settings.
