Overview

This article provides instructions for enabling debug for FaxMaker when the FaxMaker Configuration is disabled.  This can occur when there are user issues or issues with the MMC itself, and the FaxMaker Configuration will not open.  

Solution

Follow the steps below to enable debug mode:

• Right click the Start button
• Select run
• Type regedit and select OK
  
  
  Note: Making changes in the registry can cause serious issues with Windows.  It is recommended to back up the registry before making any changes.  
• Navigate to the following location
  • GFI FaxMaker (32 bit) : HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\GFI Fax & Voice\FaxMaker\Config
  • GFI FaxMaker (64 bit) : HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\GFI Fax & Voice\FaxMaker\Config
    
    
    
    
• Edit the DEBUG key value to 1
• Close the registry editor
• Restart the FaxMaker Services from the services.msc
  • Right click the Start button
  • Select run
  • Type services.msc and select OK
  • Right click the three FaxMaker services and select restart
