Overview

This article provides information about what to do when not on the current version of FaxMaker and you are having issues with the services stopping.  

Environment

Installed FaxMaker versions that are lower than the current version.  The current version at the time of this article is version 20.  

Solution

First Verify your FaxMaker Version using the finding what FaxMaker version you are using article.  

If using a version lower than version 20, it is recommended to upgrade to the latest version using the how to upgrade GFI FaxMaker article.  

When on an older version of FaxMaker, many of the issues you experience have already been reported to support and fixed in a newer version.  Also, GFI's development team will only be actively developing the current version and will not be providing fixes for previous builds.  

For these reasons, GFI Support will recommend an upgrade to the latest version as fixes for the previous version's issues are included as well as security updates and sometimes, new features.
