Overview

The purpose of this article is to provide options for customers who are debating between keeping their on-premise FaxMaker server and upgrade to the latest build and FaxMaker Online, a hosted faxing solution.

Solution

When choosing between an on-premise and a hosted faxing solution there are many things to consider.  For any information about cost difference, please contact your reseller for this information.  

An on-premise FaxMaker installation will require version upgrades which are covered in the upgrading FaxMaker article.  

FaxMaker can also be configured with local mail servers or integrated with hosted mail solutions such as Office 365.  

The FaxMaker Manual will also provide other information about FaxMaker and its features.  

FaxMaker Online is cloud-based and will already work with email systems.  There are no migrations or upgrades to manage.  The key difference is you will pay per page.  Please see the FaxMaker Online Manual for more information.
