Overview

Occasionally you may need to upgrade the operating system of the server on which FaxMaker is installed.  This article gives information about this process.  

Solution

When upgrading your server operating system, the FaxMaker software does not change or have any effect on the upgrade of the operating system.  If you are planning an upgrade of FaxMaker as well it is recommended to upgrade FaxMaker before the OS upgrade.  

If upgrading FaxMaker, follow the How to Upgrade FaxMaker article.  

If you are not upgrading faxMaker, be sure to Backup the FaxMaker Configuration before the operating system upgrade.  Also here is a link to the FaxMaker Build List and Installer Download Links, in case something should not go as planned.  

Confirmation

After reviewing the information above, you will be prepared, at least with FaxMaker, for the operating system upgrade of the FaxMaker server.
