Troubleshooting invalid or expired license issues

Overview

You may find the following situations when new license keys (also after renewal or upgrade) are applied:

  • Getting an error message stating the license key is invalid when entering a new license.
  • FaxMaker Monitor shows the license as invalid or expired, even after successfully entering it.
  • FaxMaker sends email notifications saying the license key is invalid or expired, even after successfully entering it.

Instructions

Refresh Monitor and Services

This is likely related to the Monitor or FaxMaker services that need to be restarted.

Follow the instructions in the When Entering Your Valid License Key into FaxMaker, the License Shows as "Invalid" or "Expired" article.

Check version compatibility

This is known to occur when the license is not compatible with the FaxMaker version that is installed.
