Customers may want to use a FaxMaker trial license or extend the FaxMaker trial period for testing purposes in their environment. This article provides information about the capabilities and restrictions of the FaxMaker trial license.

Any FaxMaker installation installed less than 30 days prior.

 

 

Information

GFI provides trial licenses for testing purposes. This allows a customer to test FaxMaker in their environment to ensure proper operation before purchasing.   During this time, customers can use all of the features of FaxMaker.

There are some exclusions to note.  If you want to trial FaxMaker with Etherfax or FaxMaker Online or a Brooktrout SR140, you must also get a trial license/subscription for each specific item being used.  These are available from your reseller or from sales@gfi.com.  

FaxMaker trial license keys are good for 30 days.  They can be extended, but initially are good for 30 days.  They are also only good for 30 days from the installation date.  This would explain attempting to put a trial key in a server that has been in use for months and it does not work.  

FaxMaker trial keys can be extended if it is found that more time is needed to confirm compatibility in your network.  Extensions can be requested from orders@gfi.com and should be done so as much in advance as possible.
