Overview

This article provides information for resolving the error, There was an error starting the  Fax Server Service after an upgrade.  

DIagnosis

This error is seen after the upgrade or installation at the end of the Faxmaker Configuration Wizard when the Configuration Wizard is starting the FaxMaker Fax Server Service and The Message Transfer Agent Service.  

Solution

Usually, when this happens a reinstallation of the software resolves this issue.  Please follow the steps in the How to Uninstall and Reinstall FaxMaker article to resolve this issue.  

Confirmation

Once the software has been reinstalled per the above-mentioned article, the FaxMaker Configuration Wizard will complete and start the services.
