Overview

This article provides a solution for when the FaxMaker web interface displays a compiler error when being opened.  

 

 

Environment

Any FaxMaker installation.

 

 

Solution

Complete the steps below to resolve the issue.  

 

1. In the following folders, add Modify permissions to the NETWORK SERVICE account C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\
   C:\Windows\Temp\
   
   
2. Next, open the IIS (Internet Information Services) manager, 
   
   
3. Right0click Start and select Run
   Type inetmgr and select OK
   
   
4. Select Application Pools from the left pane.
   
   
5. Right-click the "GFI FaxMaker App Pool" and select Advanced Settings.
   
   
6. Change Identity from "ApplicationPoolIdentity" to "NetworkService" and select OK.
   
   
7. In the right pane under Actions, under Application Pool Tasks, select Recycle to restart the worker process with the new identity.  

 

 

Confirmation

Upon completion of the steps above, the FaxMaker web interface will open and display items correctly.
