Overview
Incomplete, truncated, or garbled text in faxes can occur for both incoming and outgoing transmissions.
This can affect not only large, multi-page faxes, but also smaller ones.
Among the causes you may find:
- Sub-optimal settings.
- Configuration mismatches.
- Provider-side issues.

Instructions
Check for provider-related issues
Refer to the recommendations in the Faxes getting cut after moving from POTS to Digital lines article for indications that the issue may be on the line provider's side.
Review printer configuration
There may be a mismatch between the printer's paper size in Windows and FaxMaker's definition. Refer to the Legal size faxes are getting cut off article.
Check COM port speed
The COM port speed set in Windows may be causing this. Refer to the instruction in the Faxes Cut Off Randomly Using Multitech Modem article.
Review line and Brooktrout settings
Refer to the solution for Failures sending faxes with multiple pages and SR140.
Check for a resolution mismatch
The resolution set in the Brooktrout Configuration tool may be higher than the maximum resolution supported by FaxMaker.
