Overview

Users may notice transmission failures for outbound faxes that contain multiple pages or attached documents.

This has been observed when using the Brooktrout SR140.

Solution

In the FaxMaker Configuration Tool, go to Lines/Devices and adjust the following settings for the affected lines:

• Enable the use of ECM (error correction).
• Set the Max. speed to 14400 bps.

Set ced_timeout in the btcall.cfg file to 8000, as described in the Faxes Failing When Using A Brooktrout Device article.

Disable line_compression and v34, as described in Incoming faxes are randomly truncated.

Change the "Media Renegotiate Delay Outbound" setting in the Brooktrout config tool, from -1 to 4000.
